Welcome SRO Schlomer! He will be stationed at the primary campus. He will join previously-hired Mike Underwood, who will be the SRO at the elementary campus. Thank you to the Polk County Sheriff's Office for the partnership that allows us to have these great deputies. Additionally, CRSD just approved an agreement with the Howard County Sheriff's Office to bring an SRO to our Umpire Campus as well, meaning all of our campuses will have a full-time SRO!
"I am a 7 year veteran of law enforcement having served in Little River County and Ashdown Police Department. I am a father of 2 daughters and have been married to my wife for 10 years. I love to hunt, fish, and be outdoors on the side by side. I look forward to serving the students and staff, and I hope to bring a positive and safe environment to the CRPS campus."

"Hello! I am extremely excited to be a part of the Cossatot River family! I graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2017 and have seven years of classroom experience.
When it comes to education, I am passionate about helping students learn and perform at their fullest potential. I believe anyone can learn anything with the right tools.
This will be my first year teaching special education. I'm looking forward to making an impact in the lives of my students and all that they will teach me along the way.
I've been married to my husband, David, for 8 years and we have a six year old son. I enjoy watching him show cattle. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors and taking care of the livestock on our small farm."

Welcome Dr. Lowrey!
"I am Mary Lowrey. I have been teaching for 21 years. I am the new Umpire Principal, District 504/Parental Involvement/Wellness Coordinator. I recently completed my Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. My husband, Allan, and I have been together for 40 years. We were high school sweethearts from Van-Cove High School Class of 1983. We have been blessed with two sons - Chris and Taylor, a daughter-in-love - Tiffany, and our greatest blessing, a grandson - A.J. We have a farm outside of Vandervoort, and love our church family at Cove First Baptist. My hobbies include painting, gardening, reading, and anything related to the farm and cows. I look forward to serving the Umpire and Cossatot River communities."

Welcome Ms. Sullivan!
"Hello CRSD family, I am so excited to start my journey as part of the staff at CRSD. I am currently 32 years old. I went to school and graduated from Wickes. From high school I attended Cossatot Community College and received my associate’s degree. Later on, I attended UA Fort Smith and graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree. I am currently attending SAU for my masters of teaching for K-6th grade. I am married to Derek Sullivan and we have two wonderful and brilliant children. I have one son Parker Sullivan and one daughter Mia Sullivan. This school has always had a superb reputation for the quality of its teaching and the wonderful behavior of its pupils. I am beyond excited to have been hired to be a part of such a committed team and to be able to add my own skills and experience. As a part of CRSD I want to have a positive, inspiring impact on not only the students’ lives but also for the rest of the staff."

STEM Friday: K-5th learned about habitats. They made pet rocks. Then, they had to construct habitats out of boxes and other supplies for their new pets to have a home. We also celebrated the last day of summer school with an ice-cream party!

STEM Fridays: K-5th worked with 2D shapes to create pictures. They also got creative and made Father's Day medals using paper plates, paint, and ribbon!

Congratulations to Denise Ruiz who has been chosen to play in the State All Star Soccer Game! Denise is the first-ever CRHS female soccer player to be chosen to play in the All Star game, and will be a member of the “west” team. The game will be played at the University of Central Arkansas on Friday, June 24, at 5:00 pm. We are so proud of you Denise! Way to go!
