Way to go Lady Eagles! 🏐🦅

Mrs. Davis's 3rd-grade class took part in a hands-on activity that illustrated how whales use blubber to stay buoyant and surface for air, as they are mammals with lungs. Plastic bags were used to represent the whales' skin, while rocks inside acted as their bones. Initially, the bags sank, but once "blubber" (in the form of shortening) was added, they floated. Some students couldn't resist sampling the shortening.

Hope to see you there!! 🏐🦅
