In Mrs. Jackson's 6th Grade Science Lab, students had an exciting hands-on experience collecting DNA from strawberries! Using simple materials, they learned about the structure of DNA and how it can be extracted from cells. This engaging experiment brought science to life, sparking curiosity and deepening their understanding.

This September, we celebrate our Star Students at CRES for their outstanding effort and commitment to learning. Our elementary students at Umpire have been exploring the fascinating world of ancient Roman mosaics! They're learning how these works of art are similar to puzzles and discovering the different materials used to create them. As part of this hands-on lesson, students are making their own fall-themed mosaics, bringing creativity and history together!

Mrs. Barfield's fifth-grade students at CRES are enhancing their fluency and comprehension skills through collaborative partner reading and the annotation of the anchor text.

CRPS would like to say Happy Birthday to Mrs. Cowart! Her birthday isn't until Saturday but the students and staff wanted to catch her by surprise with a gift, goodies, and by singing Happy Birthday to her today. We cannot say thank you enough for all she does for us, but days like today we are able to show her a little bit of appreciation and make sure she knows important she is to the staff and students.

CRPS parents, please remember that if you want your student to receive a flu shot at the upcoming flu shot clinic that you return your forms by tomorrow, September 27th.
