Our Umpire art students had an amazing time creating self-portraits like never before! Using page protectors, they “painted in reverse,” starting with their portrait and working backwards. Each artist added an abstract painting in complementary colors as a vibrant background to complete their masterpieces!

The Umpire Paws group recently had a blast with a fun and interactive writing activity: Snowball Writing! They started with a prompt and wrote the beginning of a story. Once time was up, they tossed their stories across the room, and someone else picked them up to continue the tale! The result? A series of hilarious, unexpected, and totally unique stories filled with wild twists and turns.

The 6th grade students at Umpire Elementary are working together with Mrs. Lamb’s kindergarten class in a fun and educational way! They are reading to the younger students to help improve their reading skills while building strong relationships across grades.

Limited bus routes will continue through Friday afternoon. If students are unable to reach their bus stop due to the weather conditions we have a couple central locations. The Tire Shop in Gillham and The Rock Store in Hatfield with arrival time at 6:45am and departure time at 7:00am. The Liberty Hill Church in Umpire with arrival time at 6:30am and departure time at 6:45am.
