Mrs. Jackson's 6th grade students at CRES dove into the wonders of nature today by observing how plants use the process of photosynthesis to create sugar and oxygen! It was an amazing hands-on experience watching science in action and learning how plants play a crucial role in sustaining life on Earth.

Thank you to Mena Fire Department for coming to talk to CRPS about fire safety. Our students loved getting to meet fire pup, see the fire truck, and getting to see a firefighter fully dressed out.


Umpire 10th graders competed in a literary analysis escape room this week and conquered figurative language, symbolism, allegory, and theme in "Masque of the Red Death."





CRES 5th graders, Zion Tena and Samantha Herring, did an amazing job modeling fluent reading during ‘Book Talk’ read aloud time! 📖


We were not able to celebrate Boss's Day yesterday so we took the chance today to celebrate having such a wonderful boss! Mrs. Cowart always goes above and beyond for her students and staff. CRPS staff couldn't ask for a better boss!

In recognition of Anti-Bullying Month, Ms. Laken’s FCSI class created a powerful poster with a focus on cyberbullying and how it can affect students at school. Their message highlights the importance of standing up against online harassment and building a positive, supportive environment both online and in person.

Congratulations to Jessie Bailey, Dillion Loving, and Javier Galaviz on their success at the Waldron Cross Country Meet held on Tuesday, October 15! Jessie placed 17th in the junior girls division, while Javier placed 14th and Dillon placed 19th in the senior boys division. Go Eagles!

Cossatot River Choir students are participating in a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Fundraiser to benefit their All State Choir fees/travel, as well as to fund the Rachel Normal Memorial Choir Scholarship. Orders will be collected until Friday, October 25; doughnuts are $15 per dozen. Orders will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, October 30.

The Cossatot River FFA Ag Mechanics team competed yesterday at the Arkansas State Fair with their hydraulic dump trailer and won Overall Grand Champion! Congratulations boys!!


Last week, Ms. A’s science students at Umpire took hands-on learning to the next level by dissecting frogs! They explored and identified different parts of the frog’s anatomy, making science come to life!






Big shoutout to the Umpire Cross Country team for their hard work and dedication to improving every day! Special congratulations to Abby Tomblin for securing the #20 medal at the Tri-County Invitational in Waldron yesterday!
