Hello CRSD Families! We are excited to continue the CRHS junior high football program into this coming year. Coach Barrett already has a full schedule and is preparing for this coming season. Current sixth graders at CRES will be eligible for the team when they enter seventh grade this coming 2024-2025 school year. The recommended plan for football at CRSD is to continue a junior high school team until players phase into a senior high team. This is the best pathway to ensure safety of the players and sustainability of the program. Parents of current sixth-grade students who are interested in playing football next year can contact Coach Barrett at dakota.barrett@cossatot.us. You can also follow “Cossatot River Eagles Football” on Facebook. We had a great first volleyball season too! Current CRES sixth graders interested in volleyball next year can contact Coach Preston Pope at ppope@cossatot.us.
We are also still exploring the formation of a pee wee football program. Like many districts, our local pee wee programs are led by parents or community members. The district is willing to explore providing essential start-up equipment for the players to check out from the school if we can find parents or community members willing to lead the teams. Although CRSD staff will not oversee the program, parents or community members interested in leading can contact Coach Barrett for guidance on how to get started. The exact details like age limits, participating grade levels, and number of teams would be addressed later as the program develops.
We look forward to the upcoming season of CRHS football!

Cossatot River School District is proud to showcase our staff members in The Staff Spotlight! This edition features Ashley Burk:
"I am a 2005 graduate of Van-Cove High School. I have been employed with CRSD for 3 years, working as an ESL Para at the Elementary Campus. Working at CRSD has been very rewarding for me. Being able to help people - especially kids, has always been something that I have wanted to do. With this job, I am able to do those things. I love the small school ""family"" atmosphere I feel at CRSD. I have one child, Emma, who is in 1st Grade at the Primary Campus. In my free time, I love to spend time outdoors - riding my SxS, swimming and fishing. I love to travel, I love the Razorbacks, and I love to coach Emma's sports teams."
🦅 We are Unique.
🦅 We are United.
🦅 We are Cossatot River Strong!
