Mrs. Davis’s third-grade science students’ floating ghosts are a great example of how forces can interact! Gravity pulls the ghosts downward, while magnetism provides an upward or opposing force that counteracts gravity, keeping the ghosts afloat. This setup offers a hands-on way for students to observe how these forces can balance each other out, creating a stable floating effect.

Celebrating Red Ribbon Week at Umpire Schools! This week, our students across all grade levels came together to promote healthy choices and show their commitment to being drug-free!

Congratulations to our October Students of the Month at Umpire Elementary!
